Join us on Tuesday Evenings or Wednesday Mornings

Merry Ministries has both Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning classes. Mary Willis continues with her through-the-Bible study this semester in the Old Testament. Tuesday classes begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday classes start at 9:30 a.m. Both gatherings take place in the Sanctuary.

What is Merry Ministries?

The inter-denominational women’s bible-study class, Merry Ministries, is led by Mary Willis, an active member of Second Baptist Church in Houston. Throughout the expansion of this group, the mission of Merry Ministries remains the same. To provide a place for women to grow in Biblical knowledge, learn how the Bible applies to us today, and to start or strengthen a relationship with God that will change our lives forever.

For almost 20 years, Mary has focused on the Bible and not on denominational differences. The group of over 300 women includes Methodists, Baptists, Catholics, Presbyterians, Lutherans, Episcopalians, Church of Christ, nondenominational and those who are not affiliated with any church. “God has a plan for each woman in our community and it is exciting to come together and discover His plan for our lives,” says Mary. “The Bible has great lessons that are applicable to us today”.

As one member recently said, “It is great to set our denominational differences aside and focus on worshiping, studying the Bible and making friends. Mary’s style of teaching makes the Bible easy to understand, interesting and even humorous.”

There is no written homework for this class. Please bring your Bible, and we will provide a notebook for you. “Sanctuary-Safe Childcare” is available for preschoolers, but you must register your child. There is no charge for the class or for childcare.

Starting with a Time of Worship

The study begins with a time of worship led by Christian Recording Artists Debbie Fancher (www.debbiefancher.com) on Tuesday evenings and by Tricia Zody (www.triciazody.com) on Wednesday mornings.
