A Little Bit About the UMW
The United Methodist Women, or UMW, is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and experience freedom as women through Jesus Christ.
Members of UMW not only serve in missions and local church support but also experience many opportunities for friendships and spiritual growth. Bi-monthly unit meetings include Bible study and our circles and sub-groups offer a variety of activities from quilting to Bible and book studies, to serving at wedding receptions and much more.

Faith Booking Circle
Join the UMW Faith booking Circle on the first Thursday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to noon in room 609. We have a great time scrapbooking the journey through our faith! We would love to share this time of fellowship and fun with you. Beginner scrapbookers are welcome along with any album project. Childcare is available upon request. For more information contact Christina Fuller at 281.565.2610.
Sheltering Wings
Sheltering Wings is a prayer shawl ministry and we would like to invite everyone to join us (you do not have to be a UMW member!). We need people who can crochet or knit, as well as individuals to pray over the completed shawls. We meet on the first Thursday of each month from 10 - 11 a.m. in the conference room of the Education Building (Wing 600). Contact Jessie Carter for more information at 281-495-8865. Childcare is available upon request.
