My Ministry Calling: When serving as a lay facilitator in a non-denominational Bible study back in 1994, I began to feel God’s call upon my life to move out of owning my own business into full time ministry. I began to seek guidance to confirm God’s call on my life at Chapelwood United Methodist Church were I taught Sunday school and a men’s Bible study. In the fall of 2000, I began the candidacy process for ordained ministry at Chapelwood and left there to serve as a part-time assistant pastor at Cornerstone United Methodist Church in NW Houston. Shortly afterward I became licensed and began my journey in full time ministry.
What I Enjoy about Serving at SLFUMC: Meeting new believers and working with them to grow their ministries for Christ.
My Relationship with Christ: Began on a summer evening in 1980. My brother, Matt, came over one night and explained the salvation story of Christ to me and Kathy and we both accepted Christ into our hearts that night. Jesus is the center of my life and my hope is that I will totally surrender each day to His perfect will as I become more like Him in my words and deeds.
