Adam Clarke
Job Title: Communications Associate
On the SLFUMC staff since: July 2005
Birthday: August 16
Family: My Mom, who has been my role model, and my two brothers Nick and Jason.
My Ministry Calling: God has called me to help spread His message through digital medium to today's culture. God blessed me with talents and abilities to work with the latest and greatest in audio/video and information technologies and the least that I can do is offer those talents to spread his message.
What I Enjoy about Serving at SLFUMC: The staff, Marty in particular, realized some talents that I didn't even know I had and gave me a chance to nurture and grow them here.
My Relationship with Christ: Growing up, I always had an idea of who Jesus is, but it was a worldly view. During the summer of 1998, God saved me, but quickly ran away and went back to living a two-sided life. I put on the "Christian" mask to hide my true self. A few years later I went through a series of challenging trials and tribulations in which God revealed to me that it was time to turn over my life to Him. I continue to grow and draw closer to God each day, never looking back.
Interesting or Unusual Facts About Myself: I can't spell to save my life. Thank God for Vanessa or I'd be up a creek without a paddle.
Favorite Movie of All Time: Way too many to list. Right now it's The Boondock Saints.
Favorite Type of Food: Tex-Mex and Bar-B-Que
Favorite Thing to Do on a Saturday: Sleep in, relax and watch a few movies or TV on my DVR.
Favorite Scripture: Psalm 119 and 2 Corinthians 12:10
A Historical Figure I Would Like to Meet: C.S. Lewis
In High School I Was Most Likely to Be: A geek working on computers.
These Days I Am Most Likely to Be: A geek working on computers or at the gym
