Then the Drama Team is for you. The Drama Team uses drama to enhance worship and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in new and creative ways. The team presents short dramatic sketches in our worship service on a regular basis and on occasion for special events. Actresses or Actors who are interested can contact Carol Greenslate at 832.428.9033 or or you can contact Dr. Craig Gilbert for an audition. We also are looking for people with experience in costumes/wardrobe, sets, lighting and sound.
Graceful Dancers Needed
Liturgical Dance is a vital part of the Worship Arts ministry here at Sugar Land First. Dancers of all ages are welcome to interpret God's praises in dance. Anyone who is interested can contact Becky Hanne at 281.494.8708 or or you can contact Dr. Craig Gilbert.
For the Technically Minded
Big fan of technology? Have an ear to make music sound good? Then we could use your help on Sunday mornings and other special events to operate the sound and video equipment. If you have any experience in working with computers, sound boards, amps, and speakers that would be great, but if not, we are more than happy to train you.
Help Prepare the Sanctuary for Worship
The Altar Guild is our group that helps prepare the altar and platform area each time we gather for worship. They help take care of and place the right paraments on the altar, pulpit and lectern and make sure the candles are filled with the proper amount of oil. Some of their other responsibilities include preparing the elements for Holy Communion and helping with other special services. We are beginning to expand the Altar Guild ministry but we need people who are gifted in visual arts or interior design. Anyone who is interested should contact Cindy Wenz at 281.643.8909 or .
