Gospel Group

Do you secretly (or not so secretly) sing along with Gaither Homecoming videos? Do you think the Blackwood Brothers, The Isaacs, or even The Ball Brothers are where you would like to be? Then Wayne Thompson, with the help of Dr. Craig Gilbert, has an opportunity for you.

We are building a Gospel group here at Sugar Land Methodist Church and we are looking for singers. Crossroads Praise Team

The Crossroads Praise Team is our contemporary praise and worship music group that leads the 11:15 a.m. Sunday worship service. The team is made up of musicians who can play guitar, bass, keyboard, drums/percussion, vocalists, and other instruments. Positions are available by audition with Dr. Craig Gilbert. The band practices on Thursday evenings at 7:00 in the Sanctuary.

Inspiration Orchestra

The Inspiration Orchestra is an ensemble open to any band or orchestra style instrument. The orchestra/band will consist of musicians who play brass, winds, strings, and percussion. Musicians who have at least two years of band experience with their instrument and basic sight-reading skill are welcome to audition. Rehearsals will be on an as needed basis and will be posted on the website. If you are interested in being a part of this exciting new group, contact Dr. Craig Gilbert for an audition or interview.
