A Christmas Tradition

The Giving Tree is a wonderful tradition at Sugar Land Methodist that allows our church family to provide Christmas gifts and food to families in our community. Through this ministry, God’s love is made known to our neighbors whose need is great. Family adoptions will begin on November 6 in the Narthex after the worship services. For more information about Giving Tree contact Susan Wlascinski at 281.827.6996.

Some ways you can help

  • Adopt an entire family - Family adoptions are available in the Narthex now through November 20.
  • Provide individual gifts - Select ornament(s) from the Giving Trees in the Narthex starting on November 27.
  • Donate gift cards or money and let us do the shopping for unadopted families and individuals. We also use these donations to provide Bread of Life food boxes to these families.
  • Bring Food - Grocery lists and bags will be distributed November 6. Fill the bag and drop it off at the tent in the parking lot on November 13.
  • Assist with final inventory, wrap gifts, pack food boxes, or assemble bicycles during the week of December 12.
  • Bake homemade goodies or come help serve guests on distribution day, December 17.Distribute gifts, help load gifts into cars, greet guests or translate on distribution day, December 17.
