Letter from 2011 Lay Leader Renette Ticer

Dear Church Family,

It seems that after the beauty of the Christmas season I’m sometimes hesitant to walk into a new year. What could compare with the excitement of the music, the pageantry, the gifts we shared, and the joy and love we felt as we celebrated the birth of Jesus? Indeed the January landscape can look rather stark. But when we look closer at the year ahead, we know that without a doubt this same Jesus whose birth we just celebrated walks into the new year with us and shows us a church filled with newness and life – a church brimming with hope and possibilities.

The completion of the Ministry Center is an exciting time for our church. The incredible music suite, the large classrooms and facilities for our youth and children offer unlimited opportunities for ministry. Our Sunday School classes, Bible studies and ministry programs are welcoming new faces. In this church we can each find hope and direction, grow spiritually, find a place to serve, and make new friends. It is a place where we can confidently ask our friends and neighbors to share our journey of faith.

Join me in filling out the enclosed Estimate of Giving card for the new year. Bring it to worship on Loyalty Sunday, January 30, as together we commit ourselves and our resources to walk with Christ into the new year knowing that He will multiply the impact of the gifts we make available to Him. Together we will make a difference in our world.
