About Serving in Kid's Kingdom
There are two adult teachers and at least one adult or teen shepherd in each class. The teachers take turns preparing the lesson and craft activity. The Shepherd assists the teachers. We adhere to a Safe Sanctuary Policy with guidelines for teachers and shepherds in the classroom. All volunteers working with children are required to undergo a background check before being assigned a classroom.
Our two and three year olds learn Bible stories from Group Publishing’s curriculum. Our four year olds through 1st Grade learn from Cokesbury’s Exploring Faith curriculum. Cokesbury’s 4 year scope and sequence covers all the major Bible stories of the Old and New Testaments including special Advent/Christmas and Lent/Easter studies.
