What are Wesley Groups?
A Wesley Group is a group of 6 to 12 people that meets weekly at the church or in someone's home in a nearby neighborhood. Each meeting lasts about one hour and includes Bible study, prayer and some time just to talk and get to know one another. The Bible study focuses on the scripture that will be preached on the coming Sunday. Each group has a leader, who will get the group started on time and keep the discussion moving.
Goals of Our Wesley Groups
- Grow in our relationships with God
- Find support and acceptance
- A strong sense of community
- A place to make new friends
- A place to bring friends
Jesus' Life As Our Example
The first thing Jesus did when he began his ministry was to form a small group. We read about the disciples whom Jesus loved and invested his life in. We too are called to be a member of a small group of Christians where we can learn together and support one another as we attempt to live the Christian life.
