Welcome to First Thoughts

Let me take a few moments to introduce you to my journal, "First Thoughts". Periodically, I now have the ability to post a few thoughts and reflections about the church, our ministry and myself on this site, which I hope can keep you informed and connected to the church.

As you may know, our church has been focused on "Creating a Revolution" through Passionate Worship, Radical Hospitality and Energized Volunteers this year and a recent announcement was made concerning an adjustment with the Sunday morning schedule. Please feel free to review these plans on the church's website which is linked to this journal.

Change always brings a degree of loss and anxiety. Tomorrow, I have the blessing to see my new granddaughter for the first time since her birth yesterday. My son and his wife have prayed and prepared for this new child, but like every new birth, change will produce loss. For instance, loss of sleep, just to name one adjustment, will likely occur for both parents. However, it is well worth it all.

Please join me in prayer as we begin this new adventure into ministry together. Whenever God leads His people into new and different circumstances, He always provides. God's plans are far better than any of ours and God will strengthen, equip, comfort and encourage us as we experience the changes and adjustments in the days ahead. God will bless us as we reach out to others because they matter to God, as we worship God with the very best we have to express our gratitude and praise, and as we serve Him with our talents, treasure and time.

Again, welcome to "First Thoughts" and feel free to email me. I would love to have a chance to visit with you.
