About Fellowship Class

The Fellowship class is a Bible study class for senior adults. This class was established more than fifty years ago when Sugar Land Methodist was at Main and Fourth Street. It has been in continuous operation since that time and includes members from the original class. As our name states, we are a class engaged in Bible study with an emphasis on christian fellowship. We have enjoyed friendship over many years and minister to each other in good times and bad with love, prayer and encouragement.

What We are Studying

We use the Adult Bible studies (Uniform Series) published by Cokesbury (Methodist Publishing House). This approach to Bible study is designed to cover the entire scope of the Bible in an organized manner. Each quarter different parts of the scriptures are studied. Our upcoming studies include:

  • Genesis - God Created a People
  • Luke - God's Call to the Christian Community
  • 1st & 2nd Chronicles, Daniel, Haggi, Nehemiah - God, the People and the Covenant
  • Hebrews - The Gospels Images of Christ

Missions that the Fellowship Class Supports

The Fellowship class support various mission projects that are selected by the class. They support the Seafarer's Christmas Boxes, the Nursery at Sienna Harvest Methodist Church, various mission trips, the Giving Tree, School Bus Express and many others.
